About ACT Missouri

ACT Missouri is...
...a non-profit organization, and all about healthy and drug-free communities.  We work with people who care about solving problems that challenge our families and youth.

...a strong, hard-working organization of members and teams that represent people from 200 communities.

...about a vision where Missouri's children reach their full potential as capable, responsible, productive citizens; where the disease of addiction is treated with compassion and a continuum of services.

...your number one resource for leadership to communities through effective programs and policies that reduce risk and build resiliency.

...building and strengthening community capacity to take action in creating communities that are safe, healthy and drug-free.

...aggressively advocating for state-wide, comprehensive services for prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery.

...supports people recovering from addiction to find their collective voice in addressing the negative stigma about addiction.

...a caring and concerned state-wide organization that fully understands and acknowledges a philosophy that:

  • trained local people are the best at solving local problems
  • people support what they help to create
  • within each problem or challenge lies the answer
  • working together is working smarter
  • to build our future, we must build the resiliency of our youth
