The Missouri Substance Abuse Prevention Network has developed a statewide message targeted at adults that addresses the problem of underage drinking.

Specifically the goal is to get a conversation started about misnomers such as: "It's okay as long as it's in my house, under my supervision" or “It’s really the parents who are the problem since so many of them allow kids to drink at home”

Based on the results of the 2009 MYAA Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant survey of Missouri parents, the Network decided on this message to let people know that most parents don't allow kids to drink at home.

Feel free to use this message to serve your community and spread the message that most adults are making the decision to keep their children healthy!
